Today a new comedy podcast network full of people I really love like Bill Burr, Dave Anthony and Ari Shaffir launched called AllThingsComedy.com. They used the Feral Audio Co-Operative business model of letting their artists retain all the rights to their works and pooling their resources to make great podcasts.

Feral Audio launched with this innovative and radical new model for art & entertainment and it’s the tip of the iceberg of how we distribute ourselves and our art. Soon the industry will have to conform to the artist and the consumer will understand the value of supporting the artist directly and not the companies that bottle neck and ration out artwork & opportunities; exploiting the artist along the way.

I cannot wait for more of these little nodes to pop up. All it takes is a couple of sentences and you can alter the genetic make up of business, art and your community.
